Dr. Gary Waslewski is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine Surgery. His areas of expertise are shoulder, elbow, and knee arthroscopy. Dr. Doug Freedberg is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has trained at some of the most prestigious orthopedic and sports medicine institutions in the world. He specializes in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine, golf injuries and injuries to the throwing athlete. Total joint arthroplasty is an additional area of expertise.

Patient Care Philosophy: Communication and teamwork with patients is the cornerstone. He enjoys spending time helping patients understand their conditions and treatment options, thereby empowering them to manage their healthcare. Nonoperative care is emphasized, but when necessary, his advanced surgical skills help patients regain their function and return to their active lifestyles.
Team Coverage: Dr. Freedberg and Dr. Waslewski are the orthopedic surgeons for the Phoenix Coyotes. Dr. Freedberg is the Spring Training physician and consultant for the Oakland Athletics Baseball Club, and works closely with both the PGA and LPGA. He is also the orthopedic consultant for Athletes' Performance, an elite training center in Tempe.

Dr. Charles Peterson is a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine, earning a Certificate of Added Qualification. Dr. Peterson enjoys working with athletic teams from local high schools and the Chicago Cubs. He also travels with the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. He has a special interest in adolescent medicine, travel and wilderness medicine. He particularly enjoys caring for athletes and their families.

Interests: Away from the office, Dr. Peterson spends his time with his wife, Gayla, and their four kids. He also enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, rock climbing, reading, and has participated in triathlons/adventure racing.
Team Coverage: Dr. Peterson is a medical consultant for the Chicago Cubs in Mesa, Arizona. He also travels with the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. He is a team physician for the Mesa Miners (Golden Baseball League) and is the team physician for Mesquite High School.

Dr. Steve Porter is a Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon Specializing in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery. His area of special interest and expertise is that of complex arthroscopic shoulder and knee reconstructive surgery. Other areas of expertise include arthroscopic surgery of the elbow and ankle. He also has an interest in total knee and shoulder joint replacement.
